Founder & Chairperson
Tara Uzra is the Founder and Chairperson of LADIESFUND Energy Pvt. Ltd., a pioneering, female-owned and primarily female-run energy company. Its flagship project, LADIESFUND Solar Pvt. Ltd., is a 50 MW solar plant in Gharo, Sindh—marking a historic milestone as the first in the nation (and possibly the region) where women will reside on-site in dedicated "Pink Barracks." Additionally, LADIESFUND Energy is spearheading a World Bank-backed initiative to solarize 1,000 homes.
Looking ahead, Tara Uzra envisions expanding this project into a 200 MW hybrid plant, featuring distinctive magenta pink wind turbines. LADIESFUND Energy is a PFAN Fellow, a recipient of the KfW DEG matching grant, and an awardee of the PFAN PDF legal and technical assistance. Notably, LADIESFUND Energy Pvt. Ltd. proudly received the Prime Minister’s Award in recognition of its groundbreaking contributions to the renewable energy sector.
Beyond her leadership in the energy industry, Tara Uzra serves as the President of Dawood Global Foundation and sits on the boards of Flow Petroleum and Pakistan Refinery Limited.
Project Manager
Noman Shakir plays a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of projects, ensuring efficient resource allocation and financial transparency. With extensive training in financial management, target achievements, and goal setting, he is vital to maintaining the project’s financial health.
His responsibilities include budget management, financial reporting, expense tracking, and ensuring financial accountability. Noman collaborates closely with team members to align financial decisions with project goals, implements controls to prevent unauthorized spending, and ensures compliance with financial regulations.
Additionally, he oversees training programs, supporting trainees to ensure their successful completion and the continuous improvement of training initiatives. His meticulous approach guarantees financial stability and effective project execution.
